I’m a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/
To understand more about counselling and what I offer see my Counselling Page.
Prior to becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist, I worked within the NHS and a number of Social Care settings. I’ve always enjoyed working and meeting with people from all walks of life, and this experience has supported me in my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist in 2002; in 2016 I achieved Senior Accreditation Status. There are many different types of counselling. I offer an approach (the Person Centred approach) that says you are important. The emphasis is about developing a positive relationship with the therapist so you are free to be yourself.
What is Person Centred Counselling?
I’m a therapist who is fully committed to counselling, and I’ve used personal therapy to help me explore my own experiences. I fully understand how daunting this experience may feel, and know what it is to have been a client.
I’ve worked in various settings including schools, social care, private practice and agencies for survivors of abuse. I’ve had many years of experience working with children, adults and people who have complex difficulties.
My profile is also listed on the counselling directory.
- Diploma in Person Centred Therapy
- Diploma in TA Skills

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I attend regular clinical supervision as suggested by BACP guidelines. I am a MBACP Snr Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, UKRCP Registered and I have Professional Indemnity Insurance.
